Read moreLes Vinaigreries du Lion, a company founded in Lagny sur Marne in 1865 by Mr Mathon, passed into the hands of the Chamois family in 1890. It produced a quality vinegar, made from white alcohol. At the time, France was divided into two parts and the Loire served as a demarcation. The north of France founds its raw material in beetroot while the south of France found it in wine. The vinegar factory made and delivered the vinegar used to prepare the Moutarde de Meaux® Pommery® for many decades. It is therefore natural that our company has resumed the manufacture of the Moutarde de Meaux® Pommery®.

Read moreLand of mustard and vinegar for many centuries, Meaux still carries on the tradition of inimitable know-how. Factories have been listed since the 18th century and among them, the one of J.B. Pommery which is thought of as the most popular. The jealously kept secret of the Moutarde de Meaux® was passed on by the Chanoines. From the 19th century, the Pommery family remained the only ones to manufacture mustard, with a quality that was constant and never equalled. Its carefully chosen ingredients, its slightly spicy flavour, its legendary mildness, contribute to making it a refined mustard that is now appreciated by the finest gourmets around the world.
