The ingredients

  • Pommery® Meaux Mustard®

  • 4 slices of country bread (or multigrain bread)

  • 150g of fresh cheese (such as Saint-Moret, Madame Loïk or fresh goat cheese)

  • 1 small bunch of fresh chives

  • Freshly ground pepper

Recipe steps

  1. The mixture. In a bowl, loosen the cream cheese with a fork until it is nice and creamy.

  2. Seasoning. Stir in a generous tablespoon of Pommery® Meaux Mustard. Its nutty flavor and whole grains will enhance the texture. Add a little pepper (no need to add salt, the mustard and cheese are already salty).

  3. Toasting the bread. Toast the bread slices in a toaster or under the oven grill to obtain a nice crispy base.

  4. To serve. Spread the cheese-mustard mixture generously on the still-warm slices of bread.

  5. The finishing touch. Sprinkle with finely chopped chives and serve immediately to enjoy the crunch.
