Which replacement lid should I use for a 500g Pommery® jar?

For a compatible 500g Moutarde de Meaux® Pommery® jar, choose the cork lid specifically made for this size. Closure diameters vary between formats, so a 100g or 250g cork should not automatically be treated as interchangeable.

Why should mustard be closed again after each use?

Closing the jar limits prolonged exposure to air and external elements. Together with the stoneware jar, the cork forms part of Pommery®’s traditional storage system. Keep the jar in a cool, dry place away from direct light.

Is the Pommery® 500g replacement lid made from natural cork?

Yes. This replacement piece is made from natural cork, the material historically associated with Pommery® stoneware jars. It preserves the traditional appearance of the product while providing a practical reusable closure.

When is it useful to buy a Pommery® cork lid separately?
